I'm a really big fan of paint on ceramics. Although you're doing paint in a different way, you should check this out: www.kenprice.com this guy layers paints, sand blasts it off then layers it again...it's great. You should also consider underglazes, or maybe not. who knows, i guess we're not firing in the electric kiln anymore?
